By admin | June 28, 2008
This is indeed great news for all the people who love fashionable designer stuff. You people have the opportunity to take home elite designer apparels as well as accessories at a grand auction. The very well known Christie’s house of auction is going to hold a multi-owner vintage couture sale. This sale would be the first of its kinds. The auction will take place in New York on the 2nd of July. So, try to be free of your appointments on that day to grab the golden prospect. The auction will be a place to witnees the products by the big shots of the fashion world such as Gianni Versace, Balenciaga , Christian Lacroix, Thierry Mugler, and Mainbocher.
What is special about the auction is that it would pay a tribute to the extremely talented and renowned French couturier Yves Saint Laurent who recently passed away. the event would include the display and auction of apparels and jewelry designed by Yves Saint Laurent in every decade of his life. Such a display will show the progress of the dexterous fashion designer.
Laura Leyfer, the couture specialist at Christie’s, remarks that these products are in good condition and are affordable in their prices. Just look at the YSL designed Christian Dior dress from Fall/Winter in 1958. the approximate price of this piece is $1,000-1,500 only while this cut-out floral necklace designed by Saint Laurent for Spring/Summer 1990 would be available roughly for $1,000-1,500.

This designer handbag by the famous fashion designer Phillip Lim is made up of smooth goat skin. The embossed horizontal stripes of the bag show an exclusivity of the patterning on the piece. The black metal hardware that has been finely painted gives the bag a mod look. The adornments of studs add to the style of the designer hand bag. Menswear S/S 09: Milan Fashion Week
By admin | June 25, 2008
The Milan Fashion Week comes with a great store of imagination for all its viewers. The grand event is waited eagerly by all the people who are literally crazy about fashion. The fashion week has come this time with some exclusive designs and outfits that have never been encountered before. The fashion week started off with a huge bang on the 21st of this month and has wrapped up today. The infinitesimal patterns in men’s clothing have amazed the stylish audience to a great extent.
Various fashion designers contributed to make the Milan Fashion Week, an event worth cherishing for. Ennio Capasa made a beautiful attempt to put forward eco fashion that has till now been welcomed only by women’s wear.
Christopher Bailey, the renowned designer, exhibited somber outfits at the show. The outfits were dashing with their sober look as opposed to some designers who stresses on shining shirts which seemed to look very out dated. Bailey, rather preferred to continue with the style that he presented in FW/08-09. There were pastoral shades in his creations.
Dolce & Gabbana gave an entirely new look to men’s clothing by mingling up the concepts of daywear and night wear. This innovation was much applauded by the audience. The casual and carefree pinstripe suits closely resembling pajamas were paired with exclusive evening formal shirts.
Overall, the entire event gave new ideas and concepts that would be followed by stylish men this season!

The trend of short skirts was encouraged by Luella in the designer collection. Since then, the fashion markets have been flooded with stylish and trendy mini skirts. What is so much chic these days is the trend of printed floral skirts. Well, flowers are all around…pick up some trendy floral skirts to make yourself look flowery too.
These beautiful skirts are readily available in all fashion stores. You can choose the best ones out of myriad variety from Top Shop as well as Urban Outfitters. These pieces look so chunky and funky. They are just irresistible. These skirts are affordable too. I have already bought a few of them for the season.

Armani Designs for Batman
By admin | June 16, 2008
Batman, the super- super hero ought to have the super-super fashion designer for his clothing. Thus, it is not a great surprise that the most popular fashion tycoon, Georgio Armani took up the contract for dressing up one of the most adorable and admirable fantasy figures of the world of hollywood. Yet, the news is pleasnt to hear. Isn’t it?
It actually means that Christian Bale, the latest Batman, has all the fortune to be dressed by such brilliant hands. This is good enough a reason for George Clooney for lamenting over his fate. This does not mean that you will witness Christian Bale in suits only throughout the movie. It is very obvious that you will encounter the designer hand made-to-measure suits on the dashing physique of Christian Bale whenever he plays the role of Batman’s alter-ago, Bruce Wayne. The audience would be able to check out a variety of single breasted as well as three button suits draping the body of the lead actor. The tuxedos and the dark colored wollen coats would steal the show for sure.
We, the fashionable and stylish people, can only eagerly wait for the movie to be out, so that we can have the delight of being tempted by these creations.

Philippines celebrates in ‘Black and White’
By admin | June 16, 2008
The grand occasion of the 150th Independence anniversary of the beautiful nation on the 12th of June reminded me of the gala event of the splendid 2008 Philippine Fashion Week. Distinguished guests and elite fashion personalities attended the magnificent occasion of glamour. It is worth appreciation to see how far the nation has come in its way towards progress. The pleasing consequences of this change can also be clearly witnessed in the fashion and style of the nation.
The 2008 Philippine Fashion Week has marked a new history for the ever developing nation. The immensely skilled fashion designers have shown their virtuosity in this field of art. But, the true representative of the real history of Philippines is the work done by Raoul Ramirez. the amalgam of black and white outfits created by the designer display the periods of pain and of pride that the country has gone through. The creativity of the fashion artist lies not in rhetoric but in making the marvellous silhouettes that ’say it all’. This is a great tribute, indeed!

By the summer of 2008, the designer of Yitan, Thomas Chen, he found inspiration in the figures of classical mythology as Athena and Diana, Daphne and Icarus, reinterpreting a style purely male in a mood casual sportswear line for its women. The colors are fresh and vibrant, from white to blue ice night, until the red more intense in all its shades. The materials used are simple but high quality silk and cotton, flax and bamboo.
