Does your boss give those questioning looks whenever you go out for a walk? Do you work sitting on that rather boring desk the entire day? Are you not tired of sitting straight the whole day? Isn’t it rather too stressful to stay fixed to the non-movable chair? Do you ever think that you need some time to enjoy the nature?
Here goes a statutory warning for those who keep glued to the system and work late hours in the office. Your body needs some extra care perhaps…you better buy this egg chair or suffer! Boy that was some daring act!

A novel take on contemporary art; check out this relaxing chair shaped like the half-broken eggshell. This would be the chair that I would any day come back home and relax. The chair hit the popularity chart in the year 1950.
This apart, simply be seated in this chair and enjoy the cool spring breeze listening to the music of Bob Dylan. Do I need to say more?

Marc Newson Lockheed Lounge Chaise

Three months back, Christie auction house invited my attention because of its Jewelry specialist Helen Moles who displayed an emerald and diamond ring worth $600,000-$800,000 to honor your fingers.

And today this designer furniture all set to be available for auction at Christie’s auction hall is no less than those shiny rings. Expected to fetch $2.4 million, this Marc Newson Lockheed Lounge chaise is a record-breaking product.

Its elite look is quite enticing. Those interested can crack the deal by next month. It is a perfect thing to be placed in one’s drawing room or living room by getting the praises about the product from the visitors.

Price: $2.4 million

Foldable Furniture: Takes Form of Your Wishes

Foldable Furniture

Now changing your pose while sitting on a sticky furniture piece to your comfort can be a passé. In fact the trend is to change the posture of the furniture as per your ease. Considering this level of comfort, few household fittings have been designed by Reed Crawford out of left out wire cables.

The concept gives you the liberty to play with the wires and design the seating of your own choice. It’s little strenuous but the creative minds would love to invest their time in this innovative exercise unlike dumbos who choose to ignore.

Foldable Furniture

So, guys what are you waiting for? Take inspiration from this designer sitting by Reed Crawford and produce something that can beat his creation.

Table made of Domus magazines

Friday, July 27th, 2007 | Designer Accessories with No Comments »

table.jpgI thought magazines were only meant for reading and if not that then probably for using as an effective hand fan, but never in the darkest of my dreams I could relate them to be a raw material for furniture. Check out the chic coffee table designed by Vered Zaykovsky and you’ll be surprised to know that it is made from six copies of intricately woven Domus magazine.

The complex design in which the magazines are woven give it a sturdy 3-D structure. While, something that makes it all the more interesting is the fact that is no cutting or glue used in this table, so it can be taken apart at any time. A glass top is added to this unque base and there you have a side table that’s chic and interesting at the same time. Whenever you get tired of the colors just change the magazines and there you have with an all new piece of furniture.
