Lanvin thinks of the denim with Acne Jeans
Why a brand refined and sophisticated as Lanvin decides to look with curiosity to jeans, has always been considered alien to wishful thinking by haute couture? The designer of French brands, Alber Elbaz, try to explain it this way, with veins from manager: “The denim is the first of a series of niche product that I build from here forward.”
The turning denim is linked to next cobranding with the Swedish brand Acne Jeans, born in 1997 and headed by creative Jonny Johansson. No second line or striduli experiments fashion low-cost, however: Elbaz aims to create a capsule collection declined only to women, to be launched in 2009 as complementary to the line ready-to-wear Lanvin, ambassador of elegance and clean lines. How then combine the jeans?
While the denim was recently reassessed by stylists (Dondup elected them to icon impreziosendoli diamond), there are those who disagree on the value given to the head of a more traditional symbol of comfort and style. The Israeli designer has already declared not to think of a cut only skinny, because “not all women want to wear jeans only a member”. It remains to be expected then what will be the particularity that makes this jeans missed and that justifies the high range to which aspires (well see the price).
