Different styles of draping a designer sari

Gujarati style

In Gujarati style the sari pallu is draped in the front side rather than on shoulders. Designer saris with magnificent pallu are draped in this manner.

Bengali style

In Bengali style the sari is draped in such a way that there are no pleats and it is gracefully worn around the body and the pallu has bunch of keys falling over the shoulder.

Corgi style

This is the Karnataka style of draping a sari which involves tying the pleats in the rear instead of front and little portion of pallu is positioned over the shoulder.

Maharashtrian style

The women in Maharashtra wear sari with 9 pleats called Navarre. It is draped like a dhoti in the bottom and upper side consist of normal sari with the pallu tied on the waist.

Gond style

The sari is first draped over the left shoulder and then arranged in such a way that it can cover the whole body around.

Nivi style

This type of sari originated in Andhra Pradesh and is extremely popular nowadays.
