Fashion extravaganza embarks: Wills India Fashion Week

By admin | September 5, 2007

Wills Lifestyle Fashion Week, the bi-annual fashion fete started on 5 September with the beautiful Spring-Summer creation by designer Rajesh Pratap. This five-day show controlled by the country’s apex fashion body Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) enjoys the reputation of being the biggest trade fair for the organization.

White is sensed to be the color of the season as most of the silhouettes flaunted by models were in delicate shade. Throwing the hint of color white offering comfort in summer, he unveiled his summer collection designed out of thin fabrics of pure white with dash of lively neon shades. The collection doesn’t need the designer presence as it speaks for itself. Also, it has been noticed that for the first time Rajesh has bought a tinge of luster and glitter to his creation.

The first day witnessed the entry of cricket tycoon-Kapil Dev. Actress Tanushree Dutta is expected to participate in a makeover session scheduled by Essenza Di Wills, the associate sponsor. In all, 71 designers are taking part and 30 shows are taking place during the spring summer Wills India Fashion Week.
