Table made of Domus magazines
By admin | July 27, 2007
I thought magazines were only meant for reading and if not that then probably for using as an effective hand fan, but never in the darkest of my dreams I could relate them to be a raw material for furniture. Check out the chic coffee table designed by Vered Zaykovsky and you’ll be surprised to know that it is made from six copies of intricately woven Domus magazine.
The complex design in which the magazines are woven give it a sturdy 3-D structure. While, something that makes it all the more interesting is the fact that is no cutting or glue used in this table, so it can be taken apart at any time. A glass top is added to this unque base and there you have a side table that’s chic and interesting at the same time. Whenever you get tired of the colors just change the magazines and there you have with an all new piece of furniture.

Kleemeier rules “Body Look” show at IGEDO fashion fair
By admin | July 24, 2007
IGEDO fashion fair seems to be designed on a wider canvas. I have reasons to defend myself. Take a look at Anja Gockel’s collection, PUMA sporty collection or designer German hats and I am sure my efforts will convince you.
If you are still not convinced, then don’t expect me to accept the defeat with blind eye. In fact the models before will themselves act a spokes person for the fair.

The fair was scheduled in Duesseldorf, western Germany and invited around 1,700 exhibitors from 51 countries. The exhibitors look towards this fair as an opportunity to have an eye contact with the right person/ audience.

Levitation Desk can stand on one leg
By admin | July 22, 2007
This news below is not limited to a table that stands on one leg but also goes beyond it too define the transformation that designers have undergone. Besides innovation and creativity, it is their eco-friendly approach towards the products, making them in demand by catching all eyeballs.
For sure shot, it will break the monotony of the four-legged tables. And one cannot doubt the initiative of the designer who will be using fewer resources (material) and serving the same purpose with style.
Now give me the honor to introduce you to the great mind behind the concept of the Levitation table. Yes, three salutes to Alexandre Boucher who has no plans to reveal the methodology of this designer creation. But this is for sure that the man doesn’t believe in laying his all eggs in one nest only. As a result, he is hunting for a manufacturer to sell the table and earn justifiable amount in return. I am wondering if you could be one.
This is a clear indication for the automakers across the globe to do away with the foor-wheeled tables and design upcoming models on a single wheel. Trust me; it would be an achievement if it happens.

The Light Drop: Light from the tap
By admin | July 21, 2007
Brainchild of Brazilian designer Rafael Morgan “The Light Drop” takes decorative lighting options to a new level of creativity. This watery light features a tap oozing out of a big drop of lighted water. Another trait that adds into the mystery of this unique light is the way it controls the illumination. It is the tap that doubles up as the dimmer in this case. Just turn it around and you can control the effects. Must say this will indeed be a unique addition in your home decor.
The Light Drop is aimed at making people think about how they are dealing with the natural resources, in this particular case, the water, which is the main source of energy for every living organism.
Only a concept till date, the “Light Drop” is just a concept, which will surely sway over the market ones it hits the scene. Any buyers for this ultimate piece of innovation?
